Portuguese brand WEWOOD has teamed up with STUDIO GUD design office to develop a chair that combines all traditional principles of the classic chairs with a pure and contemporary design. As with all WEWOOD products, the Orca Chair puts an emphasis on excellent craftsmanship and traditional joinery techniques, combined with a minimalist & elegant design.

The combination between joinery and high technology made possible to develop its unusual and multifaceted legs. The sculptural backrest inspired by a fin of an orca, where the chair got its name from, seems to graciously emerge from the legs.

The reduced footprint at the back of the chair means the chair takes up less floor space therefore ideal for restaurants or confined dining spaces. Orca is a versatile chair, adapting to the taste and function that the user wants to give to it, may choose solid oak or walnut, and may still apply a leather or fabric seat.
