Czech designer Rony Plesl has created the Uovo d’argento and Uovo d’oro hand-blown glass chandelier for lighting manufacturer Lasvit. Like something from a fairytale, Uovos – eggs – sparkle like a radiant and mystical gem in a faraway land.
These reflective art glass lighting sculptures create an enchanting atmosphere, capturing nearby objects and multiplying them to infinity. Uovo d’argento is composed of ‘silver eggs’, handcrafted by silvering clear blown-glass components from inside. The sister chandelier Uovo d’oro showcases ‘golden eggs’, with the colouring achieved by silvering the insides of amber glass components.
The chandeliers come in two different sizes. The large version is an impressive two meters high, 1.2 meters wide, and 130 kilograms in weight.
