The 2015 collection from ZERO Lighting introduces a series of light fixtures that enrich our lives. The Block pendant light by Johanna Jacobson Backman for the Swedish brand explores the idea of increasing our wellbeing through good workplace acoustics.
The ultra thin pendant absorbs both high and low frequencies, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. The geometric shape is softened by a playful cable that also contributes to the lamp’s versatility. Block can be used as a single pendant, or hung is groups by mixing shapes and colours.
The simple graphic quality of Block makes it a playful element in workplaces. Made out of Soundfelt (a recycled material) and featuring built-in LEDs, the pendant gets extra credits for sustainability.
The series comes in two different heights (400 mm & 800 mm / 15.7″ & 31.5″) and two different widths (600 mm & 1200 mm / 23.5″ & 47.3″), and several colours.
