The Torei Family was born as a collaboration between designer Luca Nichetto and Italian manufacturer Cassina. The concept for the small tables, grew out of the idea of a serving tray’s small dimensions and flexible use. The name Torei complements the concept, as it is a phonetic transposition of the Japanese word for “tray”.
The small tables come in four main forms and two different heights. The table system offers the possibility to combine the forms and create your own unique composition, or simply use them individually in conjunction with a sofa, as a coffee table or end table. The tables have a metal structure and feature a solid wood or marble table top.
The Torei Family can be seen at the upcoming 2014 Milan Design Week.
