Tom Dixon reinterprets the conventional Gentleman’s club at the Milan Design Week, where he will showcase his latest furniture, lighting and accessories. The theme of the CLUB takes the historic British members club, and transforms it into a “a modern day home-away-from-home, a plush and cultured haven where pleasure and work collide”.
A misspent youth spent in the London warehouse club scene, and a more recent series of experimental interiors designed for the new breed of private clubs are the reasons why we have chosen to reinvigorate the fabled British Members Club into a futuristic social environment.
New products will include additions to the popular BEAT family, inspired by the sculptural simplicity of traditional water vessels, used in India. New table and floor lights incorporate the familiar hand-beaten shade. The collection is now available in grey, featuring a precious internal silver plate, that creates a warm, shimmering glow.
FLOOD takes inspiration from the automotive industry’s technical mastery, and is made from injection-moulded polymers. The result is a robust, and highly reflective object.
The Y TABLE is a tactile top made from durable polyurethane. The new addition comes in two size and two different finishes: a plain back top and with an enamel insert. The Y TABLE is waterproof and can be used in combination with all Tom Dixon table bases.
The PIVOT collection includes a high-back chair, a low-back chair, and a bar stool. The entire collection is made with an internal metal frame, moulded foam upholstery and rotating die-cast aluminum base.
