Gianluca Minchillo has created a series of wall clocks for Progetti that appeal to the people’s nostalgic nature. Titled Time Travel, the series originated from the designer’s idea to allow people who live in a country other than their city of origin, to feel ‘at home’ through time, but also lets us dream of a destination.

The Time Travel series includes ‘destinations’ such as New York, Cairo, Rio de Janeiro, Agra, Paris, Tokyo, Berlin, Barcelona, Venice, Florence, Hong Kong and Prague.

The clock is built out of two elements, a black-painted wooden base, and a colourful metal city silhouette that is painted in the same colour as the hands. The layering of the materials create a subtle three dimensional effect, that make the silhouette of the city stand out.
