STUDIO BANANA THiNGS, the creators of the Ostrich Pillow, have launched earlier this year a Kickstarter campaign to promote their latest innovation: the first portable and flexible lighting device. Designers kawamura-ganjavian designed the Kangaroo Light, in collaboration with the INNOVATION QUARTERS at BANGOR University in UK.
The flexible hexagonal light was designed to fit at the bottom of your bag, providing ambient light when trying to find things. The high quality silicone exterior makes it splash proof and easy to clean, and makes it ideal for reading, or lighting up small spaces.
Technological advancements by The INNOVATION QUARTERS at BANGOR University, have made Kangaroo Light Arduino compatible, allowing you to completely customize your personal lighting companion by programming a whole spectrum of gaming opportunities.
The Kangaroo Light incorporates 24 built-in LEDs, and a lithium-ion battery that offers 2.5 hours of non-stop power. When battery runs out, the light can be easily recharged via a USB cable. The incorporated accelerometer offers a variety of illumination modes such as turn on, turn off, random flicker, change intensity and pulsing.
