Dutch designer Ineke Hans has designed a multi-functional table for Arco that redefines the traditional table function. The Drawer Table challenges conventional notions and addresses how current social habits affect the way we use furniture. We find ourselves more often than not using furniture for different purposes than it was originally intended. Tables in particular have to be multi-functional; they not only have to be a traditional kitchen table but a desk, work bench, meeting place and dining table as well… and sometimes all at the same time.
The minimalist design of the Drawer Table makes it suitable for kitchen, dining and workplace. The thin table top profile incorporates virtually invisible drawers that are small enough to not have to compromise on leg room and big enough to be able to put away or get out laptops, placemats, cutlery, and all those things that are always lying around, like keys, pens, paperwork or phone chargers.
The table can be ordered with two, four or six drawers depending on the size you need. The inside of the drawers are made from recycled PET that make them feel like felt and keep all items from sliding.
There are so many uses we could think of for the Drawer table. The elegant design makes it a great kitchen and dining option for a contemporary home, while the smart storage solution and sleek profile make it a great solution for workspace areas.
