TAREE Sideboard by Terezie Simonova for E1+E4

Terezie Simonova has designed a unique limited edition sideboard for Italian manufacturer E1+E4. Manufactured in only 50 pieces, the TAREE sideboard plays on the idea of contrast and opposing elements: on one side a concrete stability, while on the other side a chaotic fragmentation. The piece appears to be interconnected, and in the same time separated by a cavity, forming an interesting contrast.

The TAREE sideboard is made completely out of oak wood and lacquered MDF. The left side is lacquered in a completely fragmented jigsaw of monochromatic greys. The edges of the sideboard are serrated and even separated from the right side as if the fragments are chaotic and falling apart. The piece transitions ‘smoothly’ into the two cabinet doors, the jigsaw pattern finally disappearing into the solid ‘block of concrete’.

The two magnetic latch doors open on the right side to reveal a roomy shelving compartment. The modern piece of furniture stands out through its original design and interesting details. With only 50 pieces made, it is surely a collector’s dream.

As with all E1+E4 designs, the TAREE includes a small Corian plate with an engraved QR code that contains information about the manufacture and the place of destination. The unique sideboard can be purchased directly from E1+E4 furniture store.
