German design duo KaschKasch has designed a playful and sculptural table lamp for Normann Copenhagen, having as inspiration the cartoon character Calimero, a charming little chicken with an eggshell on its head.
The eggshell was the element that led to the creation of the large semi-circular lampshade, which creates a counterbalance to the stringent, geometric design.
In spite of its simple, almost sculptural shape, the Cap Lamp’s design oozes with personality. The shade is rotatable, making it possible to direct the light. This makes it functional as a reading lamp, for spreading a lot of light or creating a cosy lighting atmosphere. We immediately fell for the contemporary shape, well thought out function and atmospheric character of Cap. It’s precisely these elements that characterise a Normann Copenhagen product.
– Poul Madsen – CEO and co-founder of Normann Copenhagen
Cap offers a colour palette of dusty fashionable tones that can complement any interior. The colour selection includes a dusty light blue, white, a feminine blush colour, and a midnight blue that comes as a refreshing alternative to traditional black.
The rounded lampshade can be easily adjusted to direct light and create the perfect atmosphere for reading.
