Lighting design brand Ingo Maurer has revealed an exciting selection of new products at this year’s trade shows. Known for their intricate sculptural lighting designs, the German brand never sees to amaze. Their new collection is revealed today at their Munich Showroom, which will include all the new models from the trade fairs in the first half of the year, together with a number of recent one-off designs. We have previously featured the Toto and Bzzzz lamps from the Ricchi Poveri Collection, and today we add a selection of our favourite new designs this year.
Whisper Wind
Ingo Maurer first introduced the Whisper Wind Lamp by Konica Minolta, at the light+building in Frankfurt. The new lighting object features flexible OLED panels, that make the entire structure look like a tree in the wind. Playing on the concept of flexibility and airiness, the design incorporates 25 thin, shining panels that are attached by delicate wires to the ‘branches’. The position, orientation and angle are easily adjustable to create different compositions.

Willydilly Bon / Willydilly Big Bon
Willydilly Bon and Willydilly Big Bon are new variation of the handing lamp made of white cardboard designed by Ingo Maurer in 1983. The new version adds a bright colourful touch to the space. The lamps are constructed out of white translucent cardboard, with fluorescent orange or pink interior. Willydilly Bon is 50 cm long, while Willydilly Big Bon is 60 cm long, making it suitable for higher ceilings. The two pendant can be used independent, or in rows for a more impactful effect.

Dew Drops and Cash + Carry Luxury
Dew Drops and Cash + Carry Luxury are two fascinating new designs made of a flexible transparent sheet, equipped with rows and rows of tiny LEDs. Cash + Carry Luxury is wall lamp, fixed on one corner, making the sheet arched by its own weight. The design is reminescent of a cloth, and is adjustable with a metal pin.

The table lamp version, Dew Drops is constructed of two adjustable metal rods that support the sheet. Like a sun sail, it takes various shapes depending on the position of the rods.

T.T. Moon
The T.T. Moon pendant is not yet available as it is still in prototype phase. The pendant features a series of up and downlight panels in various sizes and colours as reflectors. The canopy is built out of a circuit board with LED, stainless steel, and aluminum. We are looking forward to seeing the final product.
