La Cividina has collaborated with designers Antonio Rodriguez and Sebastian Herkner in the release of two new products. The Guest modular sofa system by Antonio Rodriguez and the Ala collection designed by Sebastian Herkner will be launched at the 2015 Salone del Mobile next week.
Guest by Antonio Rodriguez
The new guest modular sofa showcases soft and simple lines that encompass the company’s craftsmanship and understanding of today’s design needs. Guest is sophisticated, welcoming and packed with style features that will make it the centre of attention in any living area. It can fit marvellously into any architectural surroundings and its dimensions mean that it is ideal for large lounges, as well as for adding style and personality to private settings.

The design focuses its attention on form, avoiding excessive volume and superfluous details such as stitching that have been limited to the bare minimum. The collection comprises of 23 items of different shapes and sizes to provide a truly versatile product. The items can be matched together to create an array of modular solutions.
Visitors of the Salone del Mobile will have the chance of enjoying the soft silhouette of Guest showcased in an elegant velvet upholstery.
Ala collection by Sebastian Herkner
Ala is a collection of armchairs, sofas that feature visible frames made of metal and coloured or natural solid ash, which not only support and hold together the backrests, seats and armrests, but also add an elegant detail.

The clean-cut lines embody the company’s ability to adopt solutions in which the master craftsmanship is highlighted by carefully considered combinations of elements. An overall sense of lightness is produced by giving the backrests, seats and armrests a basic form with limited thickness and thin edges. In addition, they are connected to each other using an ingenious technical approach that makes all fastening systems invisible.

The curved, comfortable shape of the large backrest cradles the body. There is huge potential for customization because all of the padded parts can be combined to taste, using different fabrics, materials and colours to create playful solutions full of character.
