Nestle is a multifunctional chair born from the collaboration between designer Brad Ascalon and Stylex. Revealed at NeoCon 2014, the bucket seat chair comes with a large variety of base options, allowing it to adapt to many different environments.
Products that have typically been labeled as ‘guest chairs’ are now used in casual conference settings, canteen, areas, private offices, and collaborative work areas. This places new demands on form and function, and Nestle meets these with its harmonious ergonomic form.
– John Golden – Stylex President
Design is all about problem solving, and that’s how we approached Nestle. How could we create a chair that is so versatile that it can be specified everywhere in an office for a uniform look? With Nestle, we developed a subtle dialogue between hard and soft that fuses mid-century, modern, and traditional elements that, combined with the wide range of bases, successfully maximize flexibility.
Some of the base options include the traditional sled frame, cantilevered sled frame, wood legs, fixed four-blade base with swivel return, and five-blade on casters with height adjustments. The midcentury modern design is suitable for both informal dining, as well as more formal executive offices.
Nestle’s form is not all pure aesthetic. The highly ergonomic seating includes lumbar support that adds comfort to long workdays. The Nestle shell and seat incorporate highly resilient moulded foam to ensure not only great comfort but also long product lifecycle. The great selection of colours make it a fun addition to any environment.
We love the bold red colour. Which one is your favourite?
