Manuel Barbieri has designed the new Merlock pendulum floor clock for Progetti. The designer was completely fascinated by castles and their distinct architectural features, in particular battlements.
The battlements are recognizable features that reveal the time and historical period of the castle. From the designer’s imagination and passion for these ancient dwellings, Merlock was created. The pendulum clock features the same unique traits in a contemporary interpretation.
The front and rear parts of Merlock are made of wood, varnished in a shade of grey which recalls ancient buildings. The rest of the structure is white.
The hands are discretely positioned on the front of the clock. The pendulum is inserted into a shape that repeats the silhouette of the clock. The pendulum, as the clock hands are painted white to contrast against the grey body of the clock.
Dimensions: 50 cm x 25 cm x 181 cm H (19.6″ x 9.8″ x 71.2″)
