Scandinavian brand Hem has collaborated with renowned Italian designer, Luca Nichetto on creating the world’s first online-customizable lamp. Named Alphabeta, the new collection can be customized both in shape and colour to match your personal style. The minimalist design allows you to transform the pendants into a unique composition.

The collection comes in 8 different shapes, each with its own colour besides black and white, giving you a total of 24 available shapes and more than 10 billion possible combinations of top and bottom shades when you combine four pendants. The possibilities are truly endless.
All shades are hand-crafted from steel in a factory near Venice, Italy. The result is a smoothing of the metal and pristine finish, with an exceptional durability and high-quality aesthetic. The inner surface is powder-coated white for optimal and even light diffusion.
Alphabeta is available as a single wired pendant lamp or as a combination of multiple independent lamps. The flexibility of the system allows you to create unique clusters by simply attaching two of your preferred shades to the heartpiece connector. The entire process only takes a minute.
The unique lighting system includes an innovative pendant system which connects two bulbs – one for each shade – allowing for a bi-directional lighting source to brighten up the spaces above and below the lamp.
With so many combinations right at your finger tips, how would you customize yours? Take a look at the customizing tools.
