Pepe Cortés’ famous Jamaica Stool has been commercialized since 1991 and will now continue to be branded and produced by BD Barcelona Design. The stool comes in three different height version, featuring a wood or aluminum seat.
The sculptural form of the stool allows it to adapt to both residential and commercial environments with a focus on comfort and durability. The stool’s versatility and clean aesthetic lines make it a great addition to office spaces, as well as contemporary homes.
Pepe Cortés (Barcelona, 1946) forms part of the family of BD’s designers which was initiated in the last century, starting in the early 80’s. He started a collection with Javier Mariscal called “Muebles MuyFormales” (Very Formal Furniture). He designed the Olvidada Lamp for BD back in 1984, which has recently been rejuvenated thanks to LED technology.
