IIDEXCanada returns this year to Toronto with a full conference program that focuses on the future of design. Held Dec. 2 to 3, 2015 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building, the conference program is dedicated to exploring design changes. Some of this year’s extensive list of keynotes includes: Brazilian father and son duo, Luiz Eduardo, architect and urban planner, and Guto, designer, Indio da Costa of Indio da Costa A.U.D.T.; Clive Wilkinson, architect, designer and founder of L.A.-based Clive Wilkinson Architects; Canadian architect Todd Saunders of Norway-based Saunders Architecture; Spanish architect Belén Moneo of Madrid-based Moneo Brock Studio and daughter of noted Pritzker prize winning architect José Rafael Moneo; and Bill Browning, the leading expert on Biophilic Design from sustainability consulting and strategic planning firm Terrapin Bright Green. SPECIAL FEATURES
GOAWAY! Best of Workplace Exhibition, booth 5041
This interactive Show Floor feature explores the possibilities of the ever-changing definition of workspace. This feature will change dramatically four times over the duration of IIDEXCanada
No one really knows what the future workplace will be but it will be everywhere. Constantly changing, GOAWAY! will challenge preconceptions of what makes a workplace.

Canada House, booth 5603
This special feature tells the story of the redevelopment of the historic Canada House, in London, UK, home to the Canadian High Commission. It celebrates the best of Canadian art, design and manufacturing, and showcases some of the highlights of Canadian products that went into the project.
IIDEXCanada Virtual Spaces Exhibition, booth 5929
IIDEXCanada, Invent Dev and ArchDaily invited designers and architects to submit un-built and fantasy projects for the ArchDaily + IIDEXCanada Virtual Spaces Exhibition. The two winning designs will be presented at #IIDEX15 in an interactive virtual reality exhibition where attendees will be able to experience these fantastical spaces.
NATIONAL SUMMITS ON BIG ISSUES
National Summit on Wellness – Thursday, Dec 3., 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The summit launches with keynote Bill Browning’s presentation on Biophilia. Explore how design and real estate can impact health, well-being and culture to connect varying groups. Chaired by Barb Ciesla, Sr. VP, Strategic Consulting, People + Place, JLL, the panels will cover People Strategies and Building-Scale Strategies within this context. The summit closes with a keynote from Stuart Candy, Futurist, OCADU.
National Summit on Accessibility – Wednesday, Dec 2., 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This summit opens with the Canadian premiere of “Inclusive” by award-winning film-maker Miao Wang, introduced by Jutta Treviranus, Director of the Inclusive Design Research Centre at OCADU. It is followed by two panels: The Promise of Inclusive Design and Accessibility, and Wicked and Gnarly Accessibility Challenges for Inclusive Design. It concludes with team presentations from an Inclusive Design Hackathon.
National Summit on Healthcare – Wednesday, Dec 2., 1 – 4 p.m.
This summit focuses on how Design Thinking unites people, ideas and environments to create meaningful patient experiences. The two panel presentations featured are: Healthcare Design (Thinking): Going Beyond Theory to Practice, and Healthcare Design (Thinking): Going Beyond Hospitals to Care Environments.
