Recently we have shared with you the whimsical Toto, one of Ingo Maurer‘s newest designs, presented earlier this year at the Milan Design Week. Part of the same collection Ricchi Poveri, is Bzzzz, a delicate light bulb featuring a hand-made dragonfly.

The Bzzzz lamp is still in prototype stage, however a pre-series version, along with the prototype will be revealed at the Ingo Maurer Showroom in Munich, starting September 18.

The design incorporates a delicate dragonfly made of anodized aluminum, and is presented in two different variations, the Bzzzz available in three colours (red, green, blue), and Bzzzz Silver showcasing a silver-coated dragonfly.

The Ricchi Poveri models are fitted with specially manufactured 24-volt light bulbs, of the type familiar from Lucellino, which correspond approximately to the EEC C standard.
