Gobble by Form Maker, is an education driven project aimed at using innovative materials to replace unsustainable and toxic components in today’s furniture. The idea of the project started when two complete strangers met on Instagram and realized they shared a common goal: using a structurally engineered material made from recycled paper fibres to create a more sustainable world.
Their Kickstarter project intends on helping parents educate children to be eco-conscious by interacting and becoming familiar with alternate materials through fun animal designs. Back up the project here!
The collection includes four adorable animals (Croc, Tiggy, Hippo and Horsey) in the form of chairs, magnets, organizers, pen holders and coasters. Crafted with a material that is made with recycled paper fibres and non-toxic VOC-free inks and adhesives, Gobble is completely sustainable. In fact the energy used to make one plastic chair is enough to produce 12 Gobble chairs.
What’s really outstanding is that this material, if it caught on, could be as affordable and practical as plastic, but creates far less waste and toxins. We just need the first wave of early adaptors to come along with us – that’s why we turned to Kickstarter.
– Gobble team
With signature products being uniquely designed, the chairs are not only lightweight and offers superior strength and durability. Parents can simply assemble a Gobble chair with no tools necessary. Gobble hopes to bridge the gap between fun and sustainable living, and encourage families to open their mind to alternative materials that contribute to a more sustainable future.
