A collaboration with Sørensen Leather has enabled Norm Architects to experiment with the various ways leather can be used in different contexts within art and design. Together they have designed five extraordinary leather lamps for the exhibition.
When combined, brass and leather generate a beautiful gleam that reflects from the brass and create a halo behind the leather circle. By placing several lamps together, a large light sculpture is shaped and lights up the room with warm and diffused light.
The cords are inspired by fine leather bracelets and have become a beautiful and integrated part of the lamp instead of an appalling necessity.
