Martela describes Diagonal as an innovative combination of sofa elements and space dividers for public indoor spaces. Designed by o4i Design Studio for Martela, Diagonal was designed to meet the need of flexibility and privacy in modern office spaces.

Diagonal is made out of two elements: a padded seat and a screen that can be placed in the diagonal grooves. Although there are a minimum amount of elements, they can be combined to achieve an endless possibility of designs.

By combining several of the elements, Diagonal can transform from a “relaxed setting for small meetings”, to a “private corner for important phone calls”, or a “stylish lobby layout for customers waiting for an appointment”.
