Having the goal to create synergies between designers, artisans and industry, DAM tell stories about culture and values of their portuguese identity. In 2013, DAM made their first international presentation at 100% Design in London. Hugo Silva and Joana Santos, the dynamic duo behind DAM, have now launched a pre-sale campaign on Kickstarter that will be available till July 15. The campaign introduces four new products to the family: the funny Chicos, the lazy bed Lena, the graceful cushions Ana, and the household Silva. You can support the campaign on Kickstarter website.

CHICOS

The name Chicos meaning siamese twins, really fits the quirky design of this lower chest. The subtle details on the drawer fronts add a fun element to piece. This lower chest is lined with wallpaper with illustrations of the belonging of the characters. Chicos comes available in different colours, making it easily adaptable to children, and adults.

LENA

Lena is a lazy double bed that shares the same quirky character as Chico. The character is further accentuated by the ‘ears’ and ‘feet’. The bed comes available in three different sizes (single, queen, and king), and it includes a slatted bed base.

SILVA

Mr Silva is a householder with a friendly appearance. This wall clock is suspended by a straw strap hung from a fixed wall peg. The character’s moustache corresponds to the hour indicators, bestowing a decorative and narrative personality onto an object which is usually merely functional.
