Be-elastic has designed a clamp system that allows you to turn any flat surface into furniture. The SNAP system uses clever clip-on legs that allow you to become your own designer. We have all been in situations where furniture broke, ages or simply did not fit our lifestyle anymore. SNAP opens a whole new world of possibilities where nothing goes to waste and where you can become your own designer. SNAP is currently running on Kickstarter with only 9 days to go!
The colourful detachable legs can be used on any flat surface, and can easily be replaced or interchanged. SNAP works similar to a clamping system so there is no need for additional tools.
The only limitation to SNAP is your own imagination. The system was designed to fit all shapes and sizes so nothing should hold you back. The designers give some great ideas on how to use it.
How about taking old spare stuff at home and create an exclusive and unique table? Take your old dartboard and three SNAPs and turn it into a fabulous coffee table! You could even use an old bike wheel! Or how about attaching two SNAPs to an old wooden box? There you have your new and fashionable bedside table!
The clamps are made out of epoxy painted steel and comes in 16 different colour combinations: 4 colours for the steel piece and 4 colours for the cable. There are two sizes options, 14 inches / 35 cm or 17 inches / 45 cm, but you can also combine them or stack them to make shelves.
SNAP offers a clever and efficient solution to a problem we are all facing: most furniture is not portable or adaptable. What is even more impressive is that the use of fours SNAP legs can bear up to 98 kg (216 pound) of weight.
SNAP will be available for 9 more days on Kickstarter. Have you backed it up? What would you create with SNAP?
