The Bras Easy Chair is the much-anticipated addition to Artifort’s Bras collection. The informal armchair was initially designed to complement the company’s Bras Sofa, however it does have its own unique personality. With the release of the Bras Easy Chair, the Dutch company has also announced a new wooden base option for the Bras Sofa.

When we designed the Bras sofa, the striking feature was its unique armrest. Arms don’t bend straight, but rather in a more angular manner. The Bras Easy Chair is a new invitation to make yourself comfortable: the armrest follows the natural curve of your bent arm. Like the sofa, it is beautiful and sleek and will fit in with many different interiors. Sit down and give it a try. A ‘comfortable embrace’ is a good way to describe the feeling of this snug armchair.

The new Bras Easy Chair comes with two base options: a central swivel base and wooden feet. The seat, backrest and arms are upholstered separately and connected with each other at a later stage. This unique construction method gives the design a light and unique character, but also allows for a more comfortable seating.

The seat uses a woven bedding layer covered by a thick layer of soft yet sturdy foam. Artifort’s oil colour options for the finish of the base will now be available for the sofa and ottoman as well. Whether you like them as individual pieces or grouped together, the collection is sure to make a visual statement.
