Plumen returns to the Design Museum Tank showcasing their new energy efficient light bulb design in a novel lighting sculpture. The installation displays 96 bulbs and copper Drop Cap pendants, in a dynamic wave-like formation that mirrors the sculptural qualities of the 002 bulb.
The tank consists of four glass walls so viewers can get a good look from every angle.
We wanted to create a visually striking display, so placed a mirror on the floor to give further depth to our installation. The light reflects off the sides of the tank and the mirror to enhance the sculpted feel of the light itself, as it bounces within and escapes the tank.
About the Design Museum Tank
The Design Museum Tank is a glass exhibition space situated outside the museum on the Riverside Walk. In a dramatic location facing the Thames, passers-by can enjoy a range of different tank installations at any time of the day or night.
Plumen Tank on display until February 2015.
