2015 World Architecture Festival Award Shortlist announced

World Architecture Festival has announced the shortlist for its 2015 awards. The largest architecture awards program in the world includes works from worldwide renowned firms like Foster & Partners, Zaha Hadid Architects, Herzog & de Meuron, OMA/Ole Scheeren, Rogers Stirk Harbour, Rafael Vinoly Architects, BIG, Grimshaw, Heatherwick Studio and Carlos Ott.

The eight annual World Architecture Festival shortlist consists of 338 projects across 31 categories and 46 countries, ranging from small family homes to large commercial developments and landscape projects. The country boasting the largest number of shortlisted projects is Australia, followed by the UK and then Turkey.

Shortlisted entrants will compete for category prizes on the first two days of the three-day Festival, which will take place in Singapore on 4, 5 and 6 November 2015. On the final day, category winners will present again to ‘super-juries’ of experienced and respected judges, who will decide on the World Landscape, Future Project and Completed Building of the Year Awards. The architects will have the opportunity to present their projects in Singapore in front of a ‘super jury’ that includes big names in the industry like Royal Gold Medallist Sir Peter Cook, Sou Fujimoto, Benedetta Tagliabue, Charles Jencks, Kerry Hill and Manuelle Gautrand.

We are delighted with the diversity and exemplar quality of submissions this year. Our international juries are in for a tough time deliberating on the category winners. We look forward to another inspirational event in Singapore this November.
