Twice Light is a collaborative photographic and relational art project created by Italian photographer Gianluca Vassallo in collaboration with Foscarini. Held during NYC Design Week, the project aimed at forming small, temporary communities by inviting people to take a moment to stand under the light to connect with a total stranger in the streets of New York. His goal is to change the world, two people at a time and capture the exact moment they meet and connect.
The project features the new Twice as Twiggy, a colossal version of the Twiggy lamp inspired by the ease and flexibility of a fishing rod. Designed by Marc Sadler in 2006, the lamp has since achieved a global success and become a design icon.
