Earlier this year at the Interior Design Show in Toronto, we were introduced to a new concept of collapsable furniture by Cut-Fold. The company has been exploring methods for creating organic forms that are both simple and easy to create. All their pieces are inspired by the depth of creativity involved in Papercraft: folding simple shapes to create beautiful objects. The Aperture Pendant is no exception. Based on the geometry of a collapsible cylinder, the unique lighting fixtures adds a sense of movement to the space.
The Aperture Pendant uses thin planes of laminate that are connected through piano hinges that give the piece its modular shape and structure. The interior of the pendant features wood veneer that reflects the warm glow of the internal LED lighting. The pendant comes in a 36″ diameter with an adjustable height.
